Dining Room

I realized the other day that I had never shared photos of our room redo. I took a few just now as I was sharing the cake disaster and thought I would put them on. I realize they are awful, I'll have to try again in better light. See before pictures here: Dining Room Makeover and The Massive Entertainment Center
The other fun thing I did was to create a chalk board on my pantry doors!!! This was super exciting. NOTE: see the grocery list, my dear hubby actually wrote down things that we were out of!! It's perfect to keep tabs on what we need and Isaac loves to doodle on it as well. I did both doors using Chalkboard paint I bought at Lowes. You can also buy whiteboard paint, but I love the contrast of the chalkboard paint!!

Cake Disaster

Soooooooooooo you won't believe the cake disaster I have on my hands. I have been working for over 2 hours, making my Dad's 50th Bday cake. I did homemade white cake and a yummy carmel icing.

Well, I did something wrong.

I am usually not all thumbs when it comes to baking! I can follow a recipe, I can cook almost anything-so I'm hoping it was just the recipe. But with the day I'm having, it was probably the cook! I guess it's off to Bilo :)

Craftiness! and a Give Away!

Mom and I have been working on various craft projects the last few days! We have been preparing for a Craft and Produce Farmers Market in Tryon, NC. Mom has made some beautiful baskets and a ton of granola and I have been using vintage kitchen utensils to create windchimes and other cool things!Last week, we were at the beach and didn't get to go, so Mom went alone. This week I was excited about going, I had worked hard to get stuff ready and then NOTHING sold. People looked, and thought everything was cute, but there weren't alot of people and Mom and I neither one sold anything. Oh well!

I am trying to pull everything together to list things on ETSY so check back sooon. In the meantime---

I've decided to do a give away!

Do you have a favorite summer tradition? Share it with us and I will get my dear hubby to draw a winner!

The winner will recieve a handcrafted windchime!! Winner will be drawn on June 17!

Surfer Boy

Although Isaac really didn't like going very far out in the Ocean, he was very brave as long as the water was just at knees. He had a lot of fun with his Daddy and really enjoyed playing on his surfboard, the only way he would do it was upside down, that way he had a handle!! What fun! This was the first time Russell has been with us to the beach since Isaac was 1, so it was lots of fun for him to get to play and spend time with Isaac!

My Boy

I just love him! All that hair, that cute little squat he does.

Playing

My boys had a blast playing at the 22 different water features at our hotel in Myrtle Beach! I had fun playing with the camera and ended up in exactly 0 pictures because I was always on the taking end! I've had a lot of fun recently playing with angles and color on my camera. My Grandma wanted to know this week how I could FIX my pictures. She said she kept trying to straighten them up and they wouldn't do right in the frame. My grandparents consensus was that they just didn't look right!!! I had taken the cutest picture of Isaac at a great angel and framed it for them. It was him at Easter and instead of being up and down, he was at an angle. Needless to say I made sure to take some "normal" pictures that would sit "straight" in frames just for them!

Let's Go Ride a Horse

If you know Isaac, you know he loves horses. However, he also has a healthy fear of some things. Sooo, we have ridden ponies and been around horses, but he has never ridden a full sized horse. We thought there were going to be ponies, but horses instead. But-he did it and loved it! And even better I didn't sneeze, wheeze, or collapse. I also didn't touch the horse, but Isaac did and I touched him.

Fun with Daven

We had the opporunity recently to spend the day with Deegan and Daven. Isaac and Daven had a lot of fun playing together! Somehow everything turns into a football tackle!

Date with Mommy

Isaac and I had a fun Friday night together recently! While Daddy was at work we did two of Isaac's favorite things-Pizza and the Park! We had a great time and as always he was such a sweetie!! Of course his favorite thing to do is blow the straw paper at me-oh how he laughs!

Firefighter Challenge

Isaac had a blast at the firefighter challenge in Asheville, NC. He was so cute carrying hose, dragging a dummy, and even squirting the water with the "fire hose"! He of course, wore his own fire gear, insisting on being decked out as usual as a firefighter!!! I get such a kick out him wanting to be just like his daddy. So sweet!

Computer

We finally have not only a new updated computer, but also new internet service!! Soooo no more complaining that I don't update enought :)
